Creative Missions | 00

I’m literally sitting at the gate waiting to get onto my plane. Gate 51B is quickly filling up — looking like a full flight. I smacked on a hummus pack with carrots, pretzels and olives… I threw out the olives. That’s all I could find to eat, that is until I purchased my “breakfast” and started making the long walk back to my gate and saw all the places that had literally just opened up. Oh well. It was still good.

Anyways, I’m waiting to board my plane to head to Rhode Island. You read that right. Rhode Island. I have never been!

The reason for this trip is because I’m attending an annual missions trip called Creative Missions, put on by CFCC.

The goal? To serve local churches by fulfilling creative needs they may have. Two things I’m extremely about: creative work and the local church.

I seriously can’t wait.

Heres what I’m excited about:

  • Collaborating with other creatives and church communicators

  • Unfamiliar scenery

  • Learning from others in the same field as me

  • Time away from work

  • Souvenirs

With excitement does come genuine worry and concern:

  • Creative dead ends

  • Missing my routine

  • Pride

  • Not finding the best solution for these churches

  • Getting sick

  • Allergies (idk what I might be allergic to out there!)

There’s more things I am concerned about, but just like there are additional things I’m excited about.

In in the meantime though, I am going to wrap this up since we’ll be boarding soon and so I can enjoy a little more time with the legroom I currently have.
